Food Collection

The First Sunday of Each Month

Here at Bergen Evangelical Presbyterian Church, we have named the first Sunday of the month "Communion and Food Collection Sunday."   On this day, congregation members bring in non perishable foods to donate.  At Kidz Korner time during the service,  the children walk around and collect what food people have brought in to donate and take it to bins that are set up at the front of the church.  The food collected is then taken to the Salvation Army in Batavia by a Deacon some time during the following week.
