​Salvation
We believe that salvation is God's gift to man.  Salvation is given to anyone who by faith, trusts in Jesus' sacrifice on their behalf, repents from their sins, and submits to God's will in their life.

Who We Are 
We are a caring, conservative congregation in the Village of Bergen, New York. We enjoy living out our faith by ministering not only to our own, but to those in and around the community.  We sponsor a number of Missionaries and participate in short term Mission Trips. 

Where We Want To Be  
We desire Bergen Evangelical to be a dynamic, growing Church that increasingly impacts the Bergen area for Christ. We want to be a Church with a positive, enthusiastic and outgoing attitude toward living the Christian Life in a way that changes lives for the better.  We desire to be a Church that brings people of all ages to a saving knowledge of Christ and intentionally grows them to repeat the process.  We hope to be a Church that ministers to people's needs (spiritual, physical, and emotional) and helps them break any bonds that are holding them captive.

What We Believe

We exist to believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to belong to His family, to become more like Him, and to build up lives for His glory.

The Bible
We believe that the Bible is God's inerrant word.  It is inspired by God through the Holy Spirit.  It's truths have practical application in our everyday lives.


God  
We believe that there is one God, the creator of all things.  We believe He exists in three persons- God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit.  Each is wholly God yet each distinct from the other.


Jesus 
We believe Jesus Christ is both God and man.  He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, suffered and died in our place.  He rose again to conquer sin.  We believe that Jesus is coming again to fulfill God's plan. Holy Spirit We believe the Holy Spirit convicts people of their sin and draws people to Him.  We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit.  We believe the Holy Spirit indwells believers and empowers them to live Godly lives and gives them spiritual gifts to serve the Church and reach out to the lost.


Man
We believe that man was created in God's image.  God wants us to live in communion with Him.


Sin
We believe that man is separated from God by sin.
